Turning the Tide Newsletter – Summer 2025
Hello Finn
Thank you so much to Finn for your significant volunteering contributions with AMCS.
For more than a year, Finn has generously committed time to supporting marine conservation efforts, while completing a Masters in Environmental Science!
With a connection to our oceans from a young age, Finn speaks fondly of growing up at the beach, countless surf trips with Dad, and a memorable field trip to Heron Island while studying Marine Biology and Ecology.
“I love so many things about the ocean,” Finn says. “I love how it effortlessly holds its beauty whilst simultaneously acting as a carbon sink in mitigating climate change, and also holds so much mystery surrounding its undiscovered parts leaving room for the imagination!”
“The ocean is an integral part of our environment and local culture, and ensuring its safety and preserving its beauty is incredibly important to me.“
We sincerely thank Finn, and volunteers everywhere, for their generosity, commitment and support – you are absolutely critical to change-making work.
