Anne and Richard’s Dedication
Anne and Richard love nature and have been Sea Guardians since 2008.
Both have recently retired. Richard ran a business that researched and grew insects for crops as an alternative to pesticides. Richard is a sea person and often skipped school to surf. Now, he sails in a tiny one-person yacht.
Anne worked as a teacher and researcher in universities. Anne says, “we all rely so utterly on the oceans, land and air and everything that’s part of them – to breathe, eat and just to live. So we need to care for all these relationships.”
She believes we can learn from First Nations People when they say “care for Country and it’ll care for you”.
