An Ironclad Commitment
Ironclad’s reclaimed ghost net knives are saving our seas.
In 2019, Joe Carter, Kate Slavin and Levi Slavin founded Ironclad Co. Their aim was to create kitchenware to last for generations, and reduce millions of Teflon pans being sent to landfill every year, leaching harmful chemicals into our soil.
This year, Ironclad launched Ghost Knives, incorporating handles made from reclaimed ghost nets salvaged from the sea. Every knife sold will pull a further 1kg of nets out of the waters, with a percentage of each sale donated to AMCS in the process.
Ironclad aren’t just supporting AMCS to tick a box – last month they joined a swelling team of businesses advocating for stronger federal environmental protection laws, supporting the Places You Love campaign to sign the Business Open Letter for Nature.
We look forward to some exciting collaborations with Ironclad and others in the next year.
