Stephanie’s love and appreciation for all things aquatic developed from family holidays on the rivers and coasts of South Africa, where she grew up. Through research cruises during her Honours and Masters in Ocean and Atmosphere Science she was fortunate enough to visit Marion Island, South Georgia Island and Antarctica, and was surrounded by incredible marine and bird life, as well as unforgettable land- and seascapes. Her career has been focused on sustainable seafood, working with seafood-focused businesses (large and small) to shift their seafood supply chains towards more environmentally sustainable models, aiming to ensure seafood for future generations.
