HSBC is one of the world’s biggest funders of fossil fuels¹.
Since the Paris Agreement was adopted, HSBC has funded US $111 billion in fossil fuels around the world.
They are also a shareholder in Adani Ports and Adani Enterprises, who are financing Adani’s Carmichael mine.
Tell HSBC that investing in the Adani Group is reputationally risky.
Adani’s Carmichael mine:
- does not have the consent of the Traditional Owners, the Wangan and Jagalingou people,
- will increase coal ships in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area,
- will drain billions of litres of precious water resources,
- and will turbocharge global warming.
Use your voice to stand up for our Reef, and urge remaining investors to cut ties with Adani.
