The oceans surrounding Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) Islands are teeming with a unique mix of marine life, and we have a rare opportunity to provide them with protection!
The government has released draft plans for huge new marine parks around the Islands, and they’re asking for your feedback.
Co-designed with local island communities, they include crucial sanctuaries covering around 739,000 square kilometres – that’s around twice the size of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park!
By adding your name in support of these new plans, you will be contributing to global marine conservation efforts that are desperately needed, and helping ensure local livelihoods and opportunities remain healthy.
