We must turn off the tap and stop the flow of plastic pollution into our oceans. This means stopping the production and use of single-use plastics, supporting non-plastic alternatives, and helping our overseas neighbours to do the same, rather than treating them as our toxic plastic pollution dumping ground.
We have a new Minister for the Environment, and she has a chance to leave her mark by banning single-use plastics.
